The current Boho trend is gaining popularity, especially among young ladies. When we were approached with the brief to update this bedroom with some Boho elements, we were thrilled! Not only is this a trend that we love, but this trend also allowed us to collaborate with some amazing contractors. Morris, from The Makers Shed custom made all the wooden elements in the bedroom ranging from the oak floating shelves, mirror, hexagon wall units, to the beautiful Scandinavian looking locker.
Plants in hand woven macrame were added in the bedroom and bathroom as well as planters with hanging ferns. Custom made cork and fabric pin boards provides ample space for photographs and notes.
The bedding from The T-Shirt Co and soft throw provides a snug sleeping space for our client who is tactile sensitive. The steel frame bed was an online purchase and was carefully assembled by Morris and his son as a huge help to us.
It was such a privilege to create this Boho haven for our client!
This designer home, designed by Nicola Kortenhoeven-Nel from Lanel Studio, was a turnkey project for San-Marié Interior Design (formerly Udumo Group). The house, situated on a wine farm in Durbanville, encompasses large open spaces, double volume, oversized windows and architectural features. Designing the interiors to match the stature and beauty of this home, was a challenge Udumo Group welcomed.
Bespoke furniture pieces were custom designed for each space while the colour palet remained neutral in the living areas. Luxurious finishes in all the bedrooms were matched to the individual needs of each family member. The use of wallpaper and custom murals reflects each individual personalty.
To enhance the architectural features of this home, artwork was commissioned for large wall spaces. The light fixtures in this home celebrates the volume and creates a specific atmosphere in each room.
A family home for colourful personalities! San-Marié Interior Design (formerly Udumo Group) was tasked with creating interior spaces that suits the personalities and lifestyle of an active and diverse family. Every room in this spacious and modern home was customised to capture the personality of each family member. The colourful palette throughout the home is a reflection of the family’s lifestyle.
Bedrooms were designed according to each individual family members’ tastes and preferences. When designing bedrooms for growing children, it is important to keep in mind their changing needs and tastes as they grow older. Updating a few scatter cushions, thrown and smalls in a bedroom can create an entirely new look and feel, if the colour palet and wallpaper choice is timeless.
The open spaces and flow of this home was enhanced by adding a window to the kitchen an updating the cabinets and counter tops. Group L assisted with the building project of also adding a mezzanine floor on the garage to create another bedroom.a

When this property came on the market, they knew they found a diamond in the rough… Renovations began to transform this house into their dream holiday home.
A family with big personalities, lots of family and friends, required clever use of space to ensure ample accommodation over busy seasons. The colour palette of the house was inspired by the surrounding fynbos and ocean mixed with a bit of quirkiness and fun.
An eclectic mix of furnishings provides comfortable spaces for young and old to entertain and relax. Finishes such as vinyl flooring throughout the entire house make for relaxed beach living. Wallpaper also adds character and colour to each bedroom.

When the owners of this spectacular beach home in Onrus purchased the house 5 years ago, they purchased it fully furnished. Soon they realised that their spectacular surroundings need to be mirrored inside their home. They wanted to reflect their personalities and family needs within their home.
San-Marié Interior Design (formerly Udumo Group) created living spaces where the family can spend quality time over weekends and holidays. As they enjoy entertaining, we also enlarged their entertainment area to accommodate a myriad of friends and family.
Bedrooms were styled according to the personality and needs of each child whilst keeping in mind that this is their beach home and the house should live as inviting as their surroundings.
Le Franschhoek Hotel, a premier tourist destination in the Cape Winelands, recently added to its beautiful views and exquisite garden when they undertook a soft refurbishment upgrade throughout all their public areas, including their reception, lounge, bar, breakfast room and formal restaurant. However, the upgrade also extended far beyond their front door carpet since they loved the ideas from Northern-Suburbs-based BEE Level 1 interior design group, San-Marié Interior Design (formerly Udumo Group).
The project, which took 3 months to complete, welcomed a truly overwhelming response from the owners and guests alike.
